Sun City residents have built an enviable reputation for helping others. In addition to the many volunteer opportunities within the community, residents can be found helping our neighbors by supporting the Sun City Fire & Medical Department through a variety of activities.
Volunteer Fire Prevention Inspector Information
Thanks for your interest in becoming a fire prevention inspector. Sun City Fire and Medical Department has utilized volunteer fire inspectors for years. The strong support that comes from their efforts provides a safe living environment for all our residents and businesses. A myriad of tasks performed includes annual fire and life safety inspections, fire-related building & site plan review, and hazard abatements. Pursuing this is both rewarding and interesting. All training and support are provided.
Volunteer Administrative Support
Are you friendly and willing to help others? If so, Sun City Fire and Medical Department can use your support to greet the public, answer phones and support some basic office tasks.
Volunteer Public Fire Educator
Do you like to help others and educate them at the same time? Sun City Fire and Medical Department has a robust Public Education Program that provides training in home safety, fire extinguisher use, smoke alarms and much more. Volunteers are used to support and guide many of these programs. Also, volunteers are used to install smoke detectors, lock boxes, and home safety inspections.
